Men’s Laser Hair Removal - Intergluteal Area
Laser hair removal services are available only at: Invitro Diagnostics Clinic, 64/2 Albișoara Street
Laser hair removal of the intergluteal area is a procedure designed to progressively and significantly reduce unwanted hair growth in the intergluteal fold over the long term. Laser energy is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and targets the hair follicle, gradually reducing its ability to produce new hair.
Indications
- unwanted hair in the intergluteal area;
- dense or coarse hair;
- rapid hair regrowth after shaving;
- irritation or folliculitis associated with frequent hair removal;
- tendency to develop ingrown hairs;
- desire to reduce the need for frequent hair removal.
Procedure / Duration
The intergluteal area is assessed and prepared for the procedure. The laser is applied in a controlled manner to the treatment area, directing energy toward the hair follicles. Sensations during the procedure may vary depending on individual sensitivity and hair density.
Several sessions are required for optimal results, as the laser is most effective on hairs that are in specific phases of the growth cycle.
Duration: approximately 10–15 minutes.
Restrictions
Mild redness, a sensation of warmth, or temporary skin sensitivity may occur after the procedure. During the first 24–48 hours, it is recommended to avoid saunas, very hot baths, intensive physical activity, and irritating cosmetic products. Wearing loose-fitting underwear and clothing is also recommended to reduce friction in the treated area.
Contraindications
- active skin infections, inflammation, or lesions in the treatment area;
- active herpes in the treatment area;
- recent tanning or intense sun exposure;
- use of medications that increase skin sensitivity to light;
- acute dermatological conditions in the treatment area;
- recent use of hair removal methods that remove the hair from the root;
- other medical conditions in which the procedure is contraindicated by a physician.
In case of chronic conditions or ongoing medication, the procedure should be performed following an assessment by a specialist.
Advantages
- progressive and long-term reduction of unwanted hair;
- targeted action on the hair follicle;
- reduced need for frequent shaving;
- helps reduce irritation associated with shaving;
- may help reduce ingrown hairs;
- quick procedure with minimal recovery time.
