The Express Endocrine Evaluation is a laboratory test panel designed for the rapid assessment of endocrine system function and the detection of the most common hormonal disorders. The profile includes tests to evaluate thyroid function, glucose metabolism, inflammatory status, and prolactin levels.

This test panel helps detect endocrine disorders at an early stage and is recommended both as part of preventive health screening and for individuals with symptoms suggestive of hormonal imbalance.

Indications

  • persistent fatigue and reduced energy levels;
  • unexplained changes in body weight;
  • intolerance to cold or heat;
  • palpitations or heart rhythm disturbances;
  • excessive hair loss, dry skin, or brittle nails;
  • menstrual irregularities;
  • difficulty conceiving;
  • suspected thyroid disorders;
  • monitoring of known endocrine diseases;
  • preventive health screening.

Profile Components

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC), excluding ESR – evaluates the main blood cell components and may reveal signs of inflammation, infection, or anemia.
  • Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) – a nonspecific marker of inflammatory processes in the body.
  • Glucose – assesses carbohydrate metabolism and helps detect abnormalities in blood glucose levels.
  • Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) – the primary marker for evaluating thyroid function.
  • Free Thyroxine (fT4) – reflects thyroid hormone activity and complements TSH assessment.
  • Free Triiodothyronine (fT3) – the biologically active thyroid hormone, providing additional information about thyroid function.
  • Anti-Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (Anti-TPO) – a marker of autoimmune thyroid diseases, useful in diagnosing autoimmune thyroiditis.
  • Prolactin (PRL) – a hormone involved in reproductive and endocrine function; abnormal levels may be associated with menstrual disorders, infertility, and other hormonal imbalances.

Method of Investigation

The tests are performed using a venous blood sample and modern laboratory methods that ensure high accuracy and reproducibility.

Procedure

A venous blood sample is collected for the analysis. The procedure takes only a few minutes and is performed by qualified healthcare professionals.

Preparation:

  • Blood collection is recommended in the morning after 8–12 hours of fasting. Drinking plain water is allowed.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption and intense physical activity on the day before the test.
  • If you are taking thyroid hormone therapy, medications that may affect prolactin levels, or any other drugs that could influence the test results, inform your physician or healthcare professional. Do not discontinue any medication without medical advice.
