Pediatric Preventive Profile for children 6-12 years old
The preventive health check for children aged 6–12 years is a set of laboratory investigations designed for a comprehensive assessment of a child’s health status and key body functions.
The program enables early detection of changes in the hematopoietic and metabolic systems, as well as liver and kidney function, and provides information about gastrointestinal health and iron stores in the body.
This investigation is recommended as part of routine medical monitoring, before starting school or sports activities, as well as for ongoing health follow-up.
Clinical significance of investigations
- Complete blood count — basic assessment of blood cellular components, identification of signs of anemia, inflammation, and immune responses.
- Glucose — indicator of carbohydrate metabolism.
- ALT and total bilirubin — reflect liver function and hepatobiliary system status.
- Creatinine — marker of kidney function.
- Ferritin — reflects iron stores in the body.
- Urinalysis with sediment — allows evaluation of the urinary system and detection of hidden inflammatory processes.
- Coprogram — comprehensive assessment of digestion and gastrointestinal function.
Factors that may influence results
- Insufficient hydration
- Dietary intake (fatty or sugary foods before sampling)
- Medication use
- Intense physical activity before sampling
